I don’t really get it either but I supposed I understand it. I can agree that his personality is over the top and sometimes grating, but I don’t get the hate… I think he’s done a lot of good for the cooks that only cook because all their parents passed down was a restaurant.
I can only assume he’s saved a lot of restaurants from closing due to his stamp of approval.īut I’m not interested in eating his food or paying for his wine (I’d try it for free). He loves showing people the places that aren’t destinations but have a good local reputation. I was a regular of most of the Houston spots he’s visited before they were on his show. I love DD&D and I’ve tried a lot of the restaurants he’s visited, and they’re usually pretty good.
